It is so easy to keep thinking about what needs to be done tomorrow, and how to make tomorrow happen. When I do that I notice that the forego appreciating and living in the present and what gifts I have now. The present is a gift we get each day. As I write these words, I am centering myself in this moment and feeling my environment and surroundings. I am gathering energy and finding calmness in doing that. I have given up the past in many aspects while acknowledging that my past has influenced who I am now. I appreciate the path I took to get here to this moment but that past is past - I smile and let it go. One recent experience of being in the present was one day I spent in San Francisco. I was attending a concert but did not dwell on that. I enjoyed the trip to the city in the rain, the walking about the city, the experience of dining at one of the hotels, viewing beautiful art, and then going to my concert when it was time. Even just sitting in my car listening to music before the concert and just enjoying that moment was so peaceful. The entire day was perfect and filled with joy and positive enegy. Given our busy lives, it is hard sometimes not to focus on tomorrow. We do need to plan, but that does not preclude us from being in the here and now and relishing that.
This is beautiful. Youβre describing exactly what the Lemurians point to. when we stop chasing the future and actually drop into the moment, the simplest experiences become full of joy. Your San Francisco day sounds like such a perfect example of that kind of presence.
I do appreciate and look forward the to simple yet powerful messages from the Lumer Council. It helps ground and center me when needed and remind me of what is important and the elements I want to focus on
