Harvest Moon Blessings
An invitation to reflect, give thanks, and let go
Wishing you a luminous Harvest Moon!
The Harvest Moon is here, casting its light across the season. Farmers once used its glow to finish bringing in the crops. For us, it’s a chance to notice what feels complete and let go of what we don’t need to carry anymore
🌾 Simple Shift
Let the moonlight lift your spirit
Name three blessings
Whisper one release
Picture the moon carrying it away
If you’d like to honor the Harvest Moon in a more intentional way, here’s a simple ritual you can do in a small indoor space.
Feel free to adapt any part of it as you feel led. Your intention is what matters most.
🌕 What you’ll need 🌕
Silver or white cloth — to reflect the light of the Moon and create a sacred surface
Shiny crystals or gems — choose some that gleam or take on a rounded, orb-like form, to embody lunar energy, intuition, and clarity
Rose or sandalwood incense or oil — to invite peace and focus
A small glass of water — to mirror the Moon’s reflective power and hold what is released
A sheet of paper — to give form to what you’re ready to let go, so it can be surrendered

🙏Steps🙏
Lay out the silver or white cloth to create a simple sacred surface.
Place the crystals on the cloth, along with the glass of water.
Light the incense or use a drop of rose or sandalwood oil to cleanse the space and set the intention.
Take three slow breaths, imagining the Harvest Moon shining above you.
Speak aloud three blessings that feel complete.
Write down one thing you’re ready to release. Hold it to your heart, then place it into the glass of water, letting it be literally destroyed and symbolically given up to the Moon.
Close with gratitude:
“What is full, I honor. What is complete, I release. What remains, I carry in light.”
Leave the setup for a few hours or overnight, then pour the water away with intention.
Under the Harvest Moon, we celebrate what’s whole and free ourselves from what no longer serves.
With gratitude,
Merdhin
