Imbolc isn’t spring yet. It’s the first proof the light is returning.

This resource is for that exact space, when you’re tired of forcing yourself forward, but you also don’t want to go numb or drift. These rituals are simple, indoor-friendly, and designed to be repeated. You can do one today or rotate them across the week.

Inside this resource, you’ll find:

The Ember Oath Ritual — a one-sentence vow that turns renewal into something you can actually tend.

The 12-Minute Return of Light Ritual — a timed reset for the days you feel heavy, scattered, or stuck.

The Warmth-Not-Pressure Ritual — a gentle way to replace self-force with steadiness and care.

If you want the reflection that inspired this ritual pack, you can read Imbolc Isn’t Spring Yet, and That’s the Point.

It’s a plainspoken piece about the return of light and what to do when you’re in that in-between space, when things are shifting but you still feel stuck. It pairs well with these practices, especially if you want the “why” behind the rituals, not just the steps.

1) The Ember Oath Ritual

A vow you can keep

🕯️ What you’ll need 🕯️

A candle
A small bowl of water
Paper and pen

🙏 Steps 🙏

  1. Light the candle. Take three slow breaths.

  2. Put your hand over your heart and say:
“I don’t need to force renewal. I can tend it.”

  3. Write one sentence, simple and doable:
    “I’m tending ___ by doing ___.”

  4. Read it out loud once. Not like a performance. Like the truth.

  5. Touch the water and say:
“I release pressure. I keep the flame.”

  6. Sit for ten seconds and notice what your body does when you stop pushing.

Optional finishing move: Put the paper somewhere you’ll see it tomorrow.
