Riding the Wave
When struggle shifts into flow
Sometimes life feels like youâre stuck in the breakers, paddling without making progress.
I send out short stories with high hopes, just to be rejected. But I still write stories and submit them. Then, one or more are published and Iâm riding high.
Sometimes we forget the ride doesnât start with the wave. Itâs the paddling that makes way for momentum. Then the wave rises, and suddenly the ride gets easier and oftentimes fun.
Even though I'm not a surfer, this Lemurian message connected with me.
đ Lumer Council Message
Catch the wave. Push hard. Keep moving.
Once youâre on the wave, it does get easier. It's where the waters are calmer and your destination will be in better sight.
You'll see a giant wave coming at you. First, you'll be scared but know you can catch it.
Once you're on the wave, you'll be above it all, and your vision will be clear. Enjoy the ride into the coast.
đ Take it In
Think about times when you almost gave up, only to find the next step suddenly carried you further than you expected.
Thatâs the wave. Discouragement might hit first, but perseverance lets you ride it higher, with a view you couldnât see before.
đ± Simple Shift
Instead of focusing on how far you still have to go, watch for the swell thatâs already building beneath you.
Write down one small action youâve already done today.
Turn it into a symbol. Sketch a wave around it or decorate it in some way.
Offer it up by sharing with someone or placing it somewhere youâll see it again.
