Stop the Longing. Do the Doing.
A simple shift to move from wishing to action
There are times when longing takes over. It fills our chest with ache and whispers that something more, something better, is always just out of reach.
The Lemurians know that separation from our desires is only an illusion. What we long for isn’t far away but waiting to be revealed through action.
🌊 Lumer Council Message
During meditation, I heard it like someone speaking right next to me:
Stop the longing. Do the doing.
A moment later, I saw a Monarch butterfly in my mind. It had just come out of its cocoon, wings a little shaky, still figuring things out. The orange and black shimmered as it caught the light. Then it lifted off.
🌀 Take it In
This vision didn’t come as a gentle whisper. It landed like a kick in the butt, a clear call to stop sitting in longing and get moving.
The butterfly doesn’t waste time wondering if it is ready or worthy. It pushes against the cocoon, strains, and works until its wings are free to fly.
That struggle isn’t punishment, it is progress. The wings only strengthen through the doing.
That same vision is what pushed me to finally start this Substack. For years I carried the longing. But in that moment, I knew it was time to stop waiting and start doing.
🔄 Simple Shift
When you feel yourself stuck in yearning or waiting, don’t overthink. Act.
Do one thing right now that forces motion. Write the sentence. Send the message. Take the step.
The doing doesn’t have to be grand; it just has to crack the cocoon.
