🤝 The Connection Reset
A 3-minute SimpleShift for when you feel alone, tense, or triggered
Why this practice matters
When you feel wobbly, it’s easy to think you have to “hold it all” by yourself.
But connection is a real support system, no matter its size. A kind word, a remembered face, a shared laugh, a stranger’s small kindness, they all count.
This reset helps you feel that support again so your nervous system can stop bracing and start receiving.
🤝 How to do it (3 minutes)
Hand to heart, one slow inhale.
Let your shoulders drop on the exhale.Name three kinds of connection, out loud or in your head:
Me: “I’m here.”
One person: “I’m not alone in this.”
Life around me: “I belong to something bigger than my thoughts.”
Send one simple thread.
Text one person: “Thinking of you.”Receive for one full exhale.
Let yourself feel more supported, even if it’s only 5% right now.
Tips for practice
🌅 Morning: Do this before you check your phone, so you start the day connected to real life, not the feed.
🌞 Midday: Use after a tense interaction, especially if you’re replaying it in your head.
🌙 Evening: Do it before sleep and let one good connection be the last thing you carry.
✨ Practice daily for one week and notice what shifts first: your mood, your self-talk, or how quickly you come back to center.
