Sometimes it feels like life is all noise. Emails, errands, family demands. Even when we step outside, it’s easy to stay locked in our heads, missing what’s right in front of us.
One thing about my communte to school each day is the opportunity to see nature and appreciate beauty. I watch hawks flying and nesting, baby hawks growing up and parents tending to the baby hawks, sheep in fields, blue herons feeding, hay being harvested, just to name some. It is not a bad way to commute. Each day is different with new sights. It is a great way to start the day.
This is a wonderful way to live abundantly, even in a car commuting to work. I will be sure to do this more consciously especially when I get stuck on the Bay Bridge. When I look beyond the traffic, the seascape and wildlife if fantastic.
